In 1974, John Brandt, a high school student, began

his career in floor installation.  

     In 1994, John decided to open his own installation supply shop.  He

and his wife put together a business plan and gathered information from

other installers as to what they would like to see in their local supply shop.

He rented a small building on River St, secured vendor contacts, and opened

the doors in April of that year.

     It was a hard pull at first and John did it alone with no employees. But

little by little, the company he formed, Brandt Floor Covering Supply began

to grow and customers came to appreciate the friendly way he did business

and how he stood behind the products he sold.

     In 1997, the building at 200 Santa Fe was erected and his brother Mike

decided to join him.  The second warehouse was added in 2007.

     Today, Brandt Floor Covering Supply is the distributor for many major

floor covering supplies.
